At the 2014 Ed-Fi Summit, participants voiced a general request for stro= nger governance structures and community input for the Ed-Fi Data Standard.= This session will briefly review the progress made in the past year, conti= nue the conversation about what kinds of structures and inputs make sense f= or Ed-Fi standards, and gather input to move these efforts into 2016.
The session will have two parts. First, we will briefly review some comm= unity norms and models for governance, and consider what investments by the= Ed-Fi Alliance and Ed-Fi community are needed to make them work. Most of t= he session will be spent in breakouts designed to gather input from summit = participants, which will shape next steps in governance.
