Downloading the v2.0 XML Data Exchange Material

The technical material comprising the XML Data Exchange Framework is freely available for download on this site.

• The Core XML Schema Definition file is available on the Ed-Fi Core XSD page.
• A directory of Standard Interchange Schema files are available in the Ed-Fi Standard Interchange Schema section.

Downloading other versions of the Ed-Fi Data Standard XML Data Exchange Material

All versions of the Ed-Fi Data Standard including previously published versions and RFC material are contained in a public GitHub repository. The repository is named Ed-Fi-Standard and is managed within the Ed-Fi Alliance organization.

To download and extract the repository archive, follow these steps:

1. Navigate to https://github.com/Ed-Fi-Alliance/Ed-Fi-Standard and download the repository archive to your local drive using the Download ZIP button.
2. Open the ZIP file and extract the contents to a local folder.
3. The compressed ZIP file contains an embedded folder named “Ed-Fi-Standard-master” and child folders therein for each Ed-Fi Data Standard release up to the most recent.
